Expression of Trx-1 and FN1 in Gastric Cancer Tissues and Their Relationship with Clinicopathological Features and Survival

Objective To explore the expression of thioredoxin-1(Trx-1)and fibronectin1(FN1)in gastric cancer tissues and their relationship with clinicopathological features and survival.Methods The specimens from 105 patients who underwent radical gastrectomy were collected.The para-cancerous tissues over 5cm away from the tumor edge were enrolled as controls.Expression of Trx-1 and FN1 in gastric cancer and para-cancerous tissues was detected by immunohistochemistry.And their relationship with clinicopathological features and survival was analyzed.Results Trx-1 and FN1 were highly expressed in gastric cancer tissues(P<0.05),while which were lowly expressed in para-cancerous tissues(P<0.05).Trx-1 expression was related to tissue differentiation of gastric cancer and invasion depth(P<0.05),and FN1 expression was related to tissue differentiation of gastric cancer,invasion depth and lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).Among the 105 patients followed up,the 3-year overall survival rate was 58.10%.The 3-year survival rate in Trx-1 high-expression group was lower than that of low-expression group(45.00%vs 75.56%)(P<0.05).The 3-year survival rate in FN1 high-expression group was lower than that of low-expression group(46.88%vs 75.61%)(P<0.05).Conclusion Trx-1 and FN1 are highly expressed in gastric cancer tissues,which is related to the invasion and development of gastric cancer,and may be involved in the regulation of tumor deterioration and affect survival of patients.
