Biopsy of a Right Atrial Mass Under Transesophageal Echocardiographic Guidance

Transesophageal echocardiography was utilized to accurately define a right atrial mass and safely guide transvenous biopsy, resulting in accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Although transthoracic echocardiography was utilized to detect the mass, transesophageal echocardiography provided detail that allowed safe localization and biopsy of the mass.
