Abstract:Objective To study the electrophysiological properties of the power spectrum of neocortical high frequency oscillations(HFOs)induced by acute tetanization(60 Hz,2 s,0.4~0.6 mA)of the right caudate putamen nucleus(ATRC).Methods Experiments were performed on 56 male rats,weighed 150~250 g.Rats were anaesthetized with 10% urethane(1g/kg,ip)endotracheally intubated and monunted in a stereotaxic apparatus.Three stainless screws were fixed on cranial bones were used for EEG recording of the surface of bilateral neocoties and one reference point on cranial bones over the surface of cerebellar cortex.Results 80~450 Hz oscillation patterned in waxing and waning;The ripple duration time was about HFO with10 ms.The contralateral oscillation became much stronger and the latent period was shortened.Conclusion ATRC can induce HFOs reflecting a Cpu-neocortical epilepsy network reorganization.
