Effects and safety of olanzapine combined with high-frequency TMS on BPRS score and CGI-SI of patients with drug-induced mental disorders

Objective:To investigate the effects and safety of olanzapine combined with high-frequency transcranial magnetic stimulation(TMS)on Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale(BPRS)score and Clinical Global Impression-Severity of Illness(CGI-SI)of patients with drug-induced mental disorders.Methods:86 patients with mental disorders caused by drugs were randomly divided into observation group and control group,with 43 cases in each group.The control group was treated with olanzapine,and the observation group was treated with olanzapine combined with high-frequency TMS.The effects and safety of BPRS scores and CGI-SI scores between the two groups before and after treatment were further compared.Results:The scores of each item and the BPRS total scores of two groups after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment,and the disturbance of thought,lack of vitality,anxiety-depression and BPRS total scores of observation group were significantly lower than those of control group(t=2.609,t=6.045,t=6.064,t=5.045,P<0.05).The differences of activation and hostile suspicions between the observation group and the control group were no significant after they were treated(P>0.05).The CGI-SI scores of the two groups after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment,and that of observation group was significantly lower than that of control group(t=5.856,P<0.05).After treatment,the total incidence of adverse reactions of observation group was 23.26%,and that of control group was 37.21%.The total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups was close,and the difference of that between the two groups was no significant.Conclusion:Olanzapine combined with high-frequency TMS can effectively reduce the BPRS score and CGI-SI score,and improve the symptoms of mental disorders of patients,and effectively alleviate the severity of their diseases in treating patients with drug-induced mental disorders.And it has higher safety.
