Effect of fast track surgery on postoperative rehabilitation and quality of life in elderly patients undergoing video-assisted thoracoscopic lung cancer resection

Abstract] Objective:Objective to explore the effect of fast track surgery on postoperative rehabilitation and quality of life in elderly patients undergoing laparoscopic radical resection of lung cancer. Methods: 86 cases of elderly patients with laparoscopic radical resection of lung cancer were randomly divided into observation group and control group, 43 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine perioperative treatment, and the observation group was treated with the concept of rapid rehabilitation surgery. The rehabilitation index, pain condition, complication rate and quality of life in two groups were compared and analyzed after 3 months follow-up. Results: The time of chest tube indwelling, anal exhaust time and postoperative hospitalization time in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group (P<0.05). Postoperative 3d and postoperative 7d, the VAS pain score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative respiratory complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The scores of each dimension of the two groups in the two groups were significantly higher than those before the operation (P<0.05), and the scores of each dimension in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group after 3 months of operation(P<0.05) .Conclusion: Rapid rehabilitation surgery can effectively promote postoperative rehabilitation, reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, reduce postoperative pain, and can effectively improve the short-term quality of life after the operation, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
