Abstract:Objective To expand laboratory investigation of organ transplantation and establish a model of renal orthotopic transplantation in rats and to find the ways of preventing the complications during the operation. Methods Wistar rats were served as donors and SD rats served as recipients. Eighty rat renal transplantations were performed with end-side anastomosis of the left renal artery and ureter, end-end sleevelet anastomosis of the left renal vein. Results Eighty rat renal transplantations were performed, seventy-three rats lived and seven rats died from complications, the success rate of operation reached 91.3%, the model of renal transplantation was successfully prepared. Conclusion Orthotopic kidney transplantation in rats with allografts could be performed animal models with a relatively high rate of success. Preparation of pre-operation, operation and post-operation affect the establishment of rat renal transplantation. The rate of success can be increased by the concrete methods.
Keywords:renal transplantation  model establishment  complication  rat
