Nursing care of a coma patient with Stanford type A aortic dissection with delayed recovery after operation

Acute Stanford type A aortic dissection is a serious cardiovascular disease with high mortality. A case of acute Stanford type A aortic dissection was reviewed, and the nursing scheme of patients with type A aortic dissection in delayed coma during recovery period was introduced in detail. The key points of nursing included multi-mode brain monitoring, real-time attention to changes in consciousness, risk management of in-hospital examination, establishment of optimal targeted body temperature management strategy, accurate blood pressure management, prevention of anastomotic rupture and maintenance of cerebral perfusion, and multi-sensory awakening nursing, which provided reference for clinical nursing measures of similar patients. After careful treatment and nursing, the patient was awake on the fourth day after operation, and transferred to a general ward for further treatment on the seventh day.
