Abstract: | A new antibiotic armillaric acid (2), has been isolated from the cultured mycelia of Armillaria mella (Vahl. ex Fr.) Quel (Trichlometaceae). Its structure was elucidated on the basis of the spectral data. Compound 2 exhibits inhibitory activity against gram-positive bacteria and yeast. |
