AIDS-related knowledge score was 1〉 16 points,in which students from rural areas accounted for 62.8%,those from urban areas69.7% and the difference was statistically significant(χ^2=8.29,P〈0.05); there were 44.3% of freshmen,60.1% of sophomores,73.0% of juniors, 86.4% of seniors and 79.5% of seniors in the fifth year and the difference was statistically significant(χ^2=174.39,P〈0.05);63.5% of the students whose fathers had an education level of primary school,63.6% junior high school,66.2% senior high school (technical secondary school),73.3% junior college, and the difference was statistically significant( χ^2=5.17,P〈0.05);62.8% of the students whose mothers had an education level of primary school,63.5% junior high school,73.0% senior high school (technical secondary school),72.3% junior college, and the difference was statistically significant(χ^2=11.54,P〈0.05).0.9% did not have access to H/V-related knowledge, however,3.5% had nine different ways to obtain HIV-related knowledge, and 70.2% were from medical books. Conclusion The knowledge of AIDS prevention and control needs to be improved among college students,as well as the contents and forms of sex-education course and the promotion of health education on AIDS,so as to prevent campus spread of AIDS and to lay a solid foundation for the future.
