Abstract: | OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this article is to illustrate the radiologic features of various biliary and nonbiliary complications after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. CONCLUSION: Various complications should be considered in patients who do not make an uneventful postoperative recovery after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Sonography is the easiest and most noninvasive method for screening for such complications. MR cholangiography is most effective in showing biliary complications and CT, for the evaluation of nonbiliary complications. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiography enables not only detailed biliary estimation but also biliary decompression. |
