| Abstract: | Transglutaminase activity was determined in erythrocytes from patients with cystic fibrosis and control subjects. No differences were observed between the two groups either for enzymatic activity or for the activating effect of calcium ions. The previously described abnormal metabolism of polyamines in cystic fibrosis cannot be related to an altered function of transglutaminases. |
