| Abstract: | We present a minimally invasive and cosmetic approach to repair atrial septal defect. Fifty-five atrial septal defects were successfully repaired through a minimal right vertical infra-axillary thoracotomy. Every repair was performed on the beating heart with continuous suction through aortic needle vents and with the head of the patient lowered. This approach can be used not only in adults but also in young girls. |
