Nerve-sparing radical retropubic prostatectomy

A newly developed technique for radical retropubic prostatectomy that allows for preservation of sexual potency in the majority of patients is described. This technique involves removal of the prostate medial to both neurovascular bundles containing the pelvic parasympathetic nervierigentes. This technique can also be adapted to the performance of radical cystectomy.
