| Abstract: | Transgenic mice with recoverable target genes, with genes modifiedin expression or with ablated gene function provide importanttools for defining the biological effects of chemicals. In manycases studies can be conducted with fewer animals and in a shortertimeframe. They also provide important tools for studies ofcarcinogenesis mechanisms and processes, for early detectionof carcinogens and for identification of potential cancer therapies. |
