| Abstract: | More and more evidences show that long-term exposure to some non-ionizing radiation (NIR) is a risk factor for male infertility, cancer and other diseases. Current studies have revealed the adverse effects of NIR on sperm parameters and the role of kinases in reproductive cell metabolism and endocrine system, as well as genotoxicity, genomic instability and oxidative stress. However, up to now, the biological and molecular mechanisms of infertility caused by non-ionizing radiation on male reproductive organs are not clear. The purpose of this review is to summarize the current biomedical researches on the mechanism of male infertility caused by NIR. |
