贵州省3个县地方性氟中毒健康教育干预效果评估

目的评估贵州省白云、西秀及龙里3个县(区)地方性氟中毒(地氟病)防治健康教育干预效果。方法采用分层随机抽样方法,考核学生和妇女目标人群地氟病防治知识知晓率、相关行为形成率和室内氟污染控制情况。结果被抽样单位,学生和妇女目标人群地氟病防治卫生知识知晓率和相关行为形成率显著提高、室内存放的玉米、辣椒及室内空气含氟量均显著下降。结论地氟病防治健康教育干预试点工作取得明显效果。健康教育应作为贵州省地氟病控制的重要策略。

Evaluation of the effect of health education on controlling endemic fluorosis in Guizhou province

Objective To evaluate on the effects of health education on controlling endemic fluorosis in Baiyun, Xixiu and Longli counties. Methods The mass propagation and interpersonal media were performed in above intervention pilot regions, and two years later three towns and nine villages were investigated randomly. Results The level of knowledge on endemic fluorosis control both in the students and target women had been tremendously improved. The behaviors or actions in controlling endemic fluorosis, such as stove usage, dehydration and storage of food had obviously increased. The content of fluoride in the stored food decreased. Conclusions The implementation of health education for controlling endemic fluorosis shows a predicted effect. Health education and promotion, as an important tactic, plays an important role in controlling endemic fluorosis in Guizhou province.
