| Abstract: | A milieu for teaching internal medicine residents the psychosocial aspects of caring for patient son a medical psychiatric unit is described. The teaching portion of this program is characterized by structured goals. Testing of the residents before and after the rotation disclosed a highly significant (P = .01) improvement in their knowledge. Directions for further evaluation are presented. |
