Abstract:High intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU)concentrates the energy of ultrasound in a small area,burns the pathological tissue cells by high heat,but does not affect other surrounding tissues.Therefore,it is widely used in the treatment of tumor,brain disease and vascular disease.At present,MRI guided HIFU is being used in neurosurgery,such as idiopathic tremor.This paper briefly reviews the principle,equipment and clinical application of HIFU,and describes its application effect and prospect in the treatment of liver,breast,prostate,kidney and uterine tumors.
