CT Imaging Features of Patients with Subcentimeter Pulmonary Nodules and Their Correlations with Clinicopathological Manifestations

Objective The correlations between CT imaging features and clinicopathological manifestations in patients with subcentimeter pulmonary nodules were discussed.Methods A total of 100 patients with subcentimeter pulmonary nodules who received diagnosis and treatment in the hospital from January 2018 to June 2020 were selected as the research subjects.All patients received CT examination and surgical treatment after admission,and pathological tissues were submitted for examination during the operations.The correlations between CT images and pathological diagnosis results were compared,classified and summarized.Results All patients'operations were successfully completed and 100 single pulmonary nodules were detected.Pathological diagnosis results showed chronic inflammation of 29 cases,cancerous nodules of 37 cases,and atypical adenomatoid hyperplasia of 34 cases.When the CT imaging features(boundaries,spicule signs,pleural indentation,nodular location and ground-glass opacity)of subcentimeter pulmonary nodules for chronic inflammation,cancerous nodules and atypical adenomatoid hyperplasia were compared,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion The diseases'properties for patients with subcentimeter pulmonary nodules could be evaluated according to the CT imaging features,and diseases could be confirmed by combining the correlations between CT imaging features and clinicopathological manifestations further.
