Study on the Effectiveness of Nifedipine Sustained-release Tablets in the Treatment of Elderly Hypertension Complicated with Diabetes

Objective To analyze the effectiveness of nifedipine sustained-release tablets in the treatment of elderly hypertension with diabetes.Methods A total of 100 elderly patients with hypertension and diabetes in the community who were admitted to the hospital from January 2019 to January 2020 were selected and randomized into groups.In addition to effective control of blood sugar,all patients took effective drugs for blood pressure control,and blood pressure drugs differently,patients in the control group were treated with losartan,while the observation group was added with sustained-release nifedipine tablets on the basis of the control group.The data of 2 h postprandial blood glucose,fasting blood glucose,systolic blood pressure,diastolic blood pressure,clinical total effective rate,and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results After treatment,the data of blood glucose,fasting blood glucose,systolic blood pressure,and diastolic blood pressure of patients in the observation group were lower than those of the control group,and the clinical total effective rate(100.00%)was higher than that of the control group(80.00%).The difference was statistically significant(t=30.810,48.850,10.520,48.937,χ²=11.110,P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the adverse reactions between the two groups(χ²=0.510,P>0.05).Conclusion Compared with losartan,nifedipine sustained-release tablets has a better effect on elderly hypertension complicated with diabetes in the community.It can better control blood pressure,and it can improve blood glucose to a certain extent,with no adverse effects,but good safety.
