The Effect of Exercise Therapy on Gestational Diabetes Mellitus

Objective To explore the effect of exercise therapy on gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM).Methods A total of 300 patients with gestational diabetes mellitus admitted to the hospital from February 2019 to February 2020 were used as the research object.According to different treatment methods,all patients were divided into a control group(n=150)and an observation group(n=150),the control group adopted conventional diet therapy,and the observation group adopted exercise therapy on the basis of the control group.Observe the blood glucose,glycosylated hemoglobin value,pregnancy outcome and other related conditions of the two groups of parturients before and after treatment.Results After treatment,the observation group had fasting blood glucose(4.83±0.95)mmol/L,2 h postprandial blood glucose(6.64±1.21)mmol/L,and glycosylated hemoglobin(6.09±1.02)%,and the control group was(6.45±0.87)mmol/L,respectively,(8.63±1.17)mmol/L,(8.48±1.36)%,the observation group was lower than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(t=15.402,14.480,18.950,P<0.05).The rate of polyhydramnios in the observation group was 5.33%,the rate of postpartum hemorrhage was 0.00%,the rate of fetal distress was 0.00%,the rate of neonatal asphyxia was 2.00%,and the rate of preterm delivery was 0.00%.The control group was 21.33%,8.67%,6.00%,14.00%,6.67%,the difference between the groups was statistically significant(χ²=11.079,9.063,6.186,9.783,6.900,P<0.05).Conclusion The use of exercise therapy to treat patients with gestational diabetes can effectively improve the patient's blood glucose level and glycosylated globin level,reduce the incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes,and play an extremely important role in protecting the life safety of mothers and infants.It is worthy of clinical application.
