| Abstract: | The article gives a detailed description of how the David procedure as one of the techniques of aortic root replacement is performed in our department. In addition, the specifics of the Yacoub procedure and of combined aortic valve/root replacement (Bentall procedure) are briefly described. Finally, indications for aortic root replacement and the results of aortic valve sparing root replacement are presented. |
