TRANSPLANTATION OF FREE ILIAC BONE WITH ANASTOMOSES OF VESSELS

Since 1981, the authors have developed the transplantion of free iliac bone with anastomoses of vessels for 17 cases. In this article, the applied anatomy of the iliac region and the technique for how to get and fix the free iliac bone with pedicle of the deep circumflex iliac vessels or the deep branch of superior gluteal vessel are introduced. The superiorities and indications of this method and the problem of the selection between the pedicle of deep iliac and deep branch of superior gluteal vessels are discussed.
