| Abstract: | Fourteen patients received Z-shapcd osLeotomyfor one-stage femoral elongation. Of these, 10 weremale and 4 female with age ranging from 14 t0 21years. Twelve patients had sequclae of infantile paralysis, one congenital hip dislocation, and one coxaplana. This operation lengthened the limbs from2.5 cm t0 4.2 crn, and the average period of boneunion was 6.7 months. The indications, preopera-tive preparations, operative procedures and beware-ness, postoperativc measures, as well as the advantages of the operation are discussed in detail. |
