| Abstract: | Diaphragmatic shape in normal patients was significantly different from shape in emphysema patients. Postoperative diaphragmatic shape in patients with good clinical outcome differed from preoperative shape and was similar to shape in normal patients. In patients with poor clinical outcome, surgery appeared to have little effect on diaphragm shape. |
