Effect of Fuyang Qiwei decoction on IIEF-5 score and NPT index of patients with mild to moderate erectile dysfunction

Objective:To approach the effect of Fuyang Qiwei decoction on IIEF-5 score and NPT index of patients with mild to moderate erectile dysfunction.Methods:126 cases of patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups,63 cases in each group.The treatment group was treated with Fuyang Qiwei decoction,while the control group was treated with Yougui capsule.The period of treatment was 4 weeks.International Index of Erectile Function-5.(IIEF-5)score and Nocturnal Penile Tumescence(NPT)index were recorded respectively before and after treatment.Results:1.3 cases were lost in treatment group,and 4 cases were lost in control group.2.After treatment,IIEF-5 scores of patients in both groups were increased,and the treatment group was better than the control group(P﹤0.05);according to severity grading determined by IIEF-5 score,the comparative difference between two groups was statistically significant(P﹤0.05).3.After treatment,NPT indexes of patients in both groups were improved compared with before treatment,and the treatment group was better than the control group(P﹤0.05).Conclusion:Fuyang Qiwei decoction can enhance IIEF-5 score of patients with mild to moderate erectile dysfunction,and improve the number,mean duration and mean blood volume of penile erection of patients.
