Abstract:In vitro experiments simulating collagen-induced thrombogenesis in arteries damaged during angioplasty demonstrate a marked inhibitory effect of surface-bound urokinase. In contrast to free urokinase, bound enzyme is more effective in preventing platelet aggregation on the collagen surface.
