| Abstract: | Case A 69-year-old man was admitted with acute renal failure. Pastmedical history included chronic pancreatitis caused by heavyalcohol intake, diagnosed in 1972, with an ensuing requirementfor enzyme replacement therapy and development of non-insulindependent diabetes mellitus.
