Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of individualized education program on anxiety,depression and quality of life in elderly patients with chronic hepatitis B.Methods 200 elderly patients with chronic hepatitis B treated in Ruijin Hospital Affiliated to Medical College of Shanghai Jiaotong University from November 2019 to November 2020 were selected and randomly divided into observation group(n=100)and control group(n=100)according to the random number table.The observation group was given individualized education program nursing,and the control group was given routine nursing.Before and 12 weeks after the intervention,Self-Rating Psychological Anxiety scale(SAS)and Self-Rating Psychological Depression Scale(SDS)were used to evaluate the degree of anxiety and depression of the patients,respectively;the Health Survey Summary Table(SF-36)was used to evaluate the life quality of the patients.At the same time,all dimensions of the Medical Response Questionnaire(MCMQ)were scored,the medication compliance and self-management ability were evaluated.Results After 12 weeks of intervention,the scores of SF-36 of the two groups were higher than those of the same group before treatment(P<0.05),and the scores of SAS and SDS were significantly lower than those of the same group before treatment(P<0.05);the scores of face-to-face items in the MCMQ scores were significantly higher than those of the same group before treatment(P<0.05),scores of avoidance and abandonment items in the MCMQ were significantly lower than those of the same group before treatment(P<0.05).The improvement of the above indexes of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).The medication compliance of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The individualized education programs can promote the correct understanding of the disease in elderly patients with chronic hepatitis B,improve self-management ability,relieve the anxiety and depression,and significantly improve their life quality and medication compliance.
