Abstract:Effect of anisodamine (Ani) on myocardial injury after burn was observed in rats inflicted with burn of Ⅲ degree on 30% total body surface area (TBSA). Ani 1, 5 and 10 mg·kg-1 was given every 4 h ip after burn injury. lt was found that Ani significantly decreased the release of creatine phospokinase, lactate dehydrogenase and malondialdehyde content, inhibited phospholipase A2 (PLA2) activity and also increased superoxide dismutase activity 12 h after burn. The results suggested that the protective mechanism of Ani on myocardium after burn injury might be related to membrane stabilization through antilipid peroxidation and PLA2 activity inhibition.
