Abstract: | BK virus (BKV) is increasingly being recognized as an important pathogen among renal transplant recipients. To date, only limited information is known about BKV infections in this population; definitive data regarding the epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment, and outcome of BKV infection are lacking. Therefore, further investigations are needed. This article reviews our current understanding of BKV infections among renal transplant patients. |
