Clinical Value of Brain CT/MRI in Children with Febrile Seizures

Objective To analyze the clinical value of head CT and MRI in children with febrile seizu res.Methods From January 2015 to December 2018,90 children dignosis with febrile seizures in our department were selected and divided into simple group and complex group according to their clinical characteristics,45 cases in each group.The relationship between CT and MRI and the diagnosis of febrile seizures was observed and analyzed.Results In 13 cases of abnormal CT imaging results,4 cases had abnormal EEG,9 cases had normal EEG;among 77 cases of normal CT imaging results,19 cases had abnormal EEG,11 cases had EEG boundary,46 cases had normal EEG.There was no statistical significance between abnormal CT imaging results and abnormal EEG results(P>0.05);among 10 cases of abnormal MRI imaging results,4 cases had abnormal EEG and 1 case had EEG There were 27 cases of abnormal EEG,8 cases of abnormal EEG and 44 cases of normal EEG in 5 cases of normal EEG and 80 cases of normal MRI imaging results.There was no significa nt difference between abnormal MRI imaging results and abnormal EEG results in children(P>0.05).There was no significa nt difference between the abnormal results of CT and MRI and the type of febrile seizures in children(P>0.05).Conclusion The clinical value of head CT/MRI in children with normal development of febrile convulsion is limited,but the abnormality of head CT/MRI and EEG at the same time has a certain diagnostic value.
