摘    要:<正>肥胖已成为严重危害人类健康的社会问题。现有大约十亿的成年人是超重,体重指数(body mass index,BMI)超过25,并且有3亿成年人是肥胖,BMI超过30。肥胖会导致严重的健康问题,降低生活期盼,对生活质量造成重要影响。肥胖和超体重会导致高血压、2型糖尿病、冠状动脉心脏病等严重疾

Abstract:Obesity is a rapidly growing international health problem. The association of fat mass and obesity associated(FTO) gene and obesity is becoming the hot topic in the gene research. FTO is a member of the non-heme dioxygenase [Fe(Ⅱ) and 2-oxoglutarate-dependent dioxygenases] superfamily. FTO levels in the brain, especially in the hypothalamus, participate in the central control of food intake. The mutation of FTO gene accentuates body mass index, hip circumference and total weight, leading to obesity.
