Efficacy of half-dose somatostatin combined with octreotide in the treatment of patients with acute pancreatitis and its influence on the levels of inflammatory factors

Objective To analyze the clinical effect of half-dose somatostatin combined with octreotide in the treatment of patients with acute pancreatitis and its influence on the levels of inflammatory factors.Methods A total of 90 patients with acute pancreatitis were divided into conventional group and combination group according to computer-generated random numerical table,with 45 cases in each group.The conventional group was treated with octreotide,and the combination group was treated with half-dose somatostatin and octreotide.Both groups were compared in terms of levels of inflammatory factors,ferritin and intercellular adhesion molecule-1 before and after treatment,therapeutic effects,and incidence of adverse reactions.Results After treatment,the high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(12.58±1.81)mg/L,tumor necrosis factor-α(33.95±4.81)ng/L,and serum interleukin-6(10.11±1.25)ng/L of the combination group were lower than(19.75±2.85)mg/L,(41.92±5.89)ng/L,and(14.26±1.52)ng/L of the conventional group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the total effective rate of treatment 95.6%in the combination group was higher than 80.0%in the conventional group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the ferritin(524.18±76.92)ng/ml and intercellular adhesion molecule-1(6.04±0.78)ng/ml in the combination group were lower than(586.41±80.77)and(7.25±0.84)ng/ml in the conventional group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reaction 13.3%in the combination group was lower than 40.0%in the conventional group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Half-dose somatostatin combined with octreotide can reduce the levels of inflammatory factors,improve the efficacy,reduce the levels of ferritin and intercellular adhesion molecule-1,and lower the incidence of adverse reactions in patients with acute pancreatitis.
