| Abstract: | This article traces the evolution of unicondylar design and examines its indications, common aspects of surgical technique independent of design, results, and complications. The dichotomy of opinion concerning unicompartmental knee arthroplasty may reflect differences in patient selection, prosthesis selection, and surgical technique. |
