Abstract:Aim To study the effects of different molecular weight of collagen polypeptides from squid(Dosidicus gigas)skin(SP1:Mr>10000 u,SP2:6 000 u0.05),the melanogenesis and tyrosinase activity were inhibited remarkably(P<0.05,P<0.01).The TYR mRNA level was decreased evidently(P<0.05,P<0.01) in a dose dependent manner by SP1,SP2 and SP3,respectively.Conclusion Different molecular weight of collagen polypeptides from squid(Dosidicus gigas)skin can inhibit melanogenesis in B16 melanocytes observably.The inhibition effect of SP2 is better than that of SP1 and SP3(P<0.05).
