| Abstract: | Stomachache, also called as epigastralgia, isa very common disorder of the stomach, charac-terized by frequent pain in the epigastric region.It generally results from irregular diet, affectionby external cold, liver-qi attacking the stomachinduced stagnation of qi, or from malnourish-ment of the Stomach Meridian-Collaterals. Thetreatment should aim at regulating qi and har-monizing the stomach to relieving the pain. Inmodern medicine, it is often seen in some dis-eases as peptic ulcer, gastritis, gastric neurosis,gastrospasm, liver and gallbladder diseases andpancreatic disorders, the treatment mentioned inthis section may be referred to. |
