| Abstract: | HBeAg and anti-HBe were determined by ELISA in 168 patients with hepatitis B. HBeAg was detected in 123 of 168 and anti-HBe was detected in the rest. The result shows HBeAg was present in 49 out of123and 74 were HBeAg negative; Anti-HBe was positive in 11 out of 45 and 34 were anti-HBe negative. These results were compared with reagent of Abbott box of U. S. A. coincidenterate of HBeAg is 79.5%. Specificity is 100%. Coincidente rate of anti-HBe is 73.3%, specificity is 100%. Block tests were completely interupted, ELISA was compared with I. D, ELISA is 3.5 times more sensitive than I. D, and 10 times in anti-HBe p<0.01. Sensitivity of ELISA is 426 times more than I. D. In repeated tests, the coefficient variation is under 10%. |
