基质金属蛋白酶-7在食管癌组织中的表达及其意义

目的探讨基质金属蛋白酶-7(MMP-7)表达与食管癌生物学行为的关系。方法采用免疫组化SABC法检测MMP-7在食管鳞癌中的表达。结果在正常食管鳞状细胞中MM-7呈阴性表达;在食管癌组织中主要表达于癌细胞膜和胞质中,间质细胞无表达,食管癌中阳性表达率为43.3%(26/60);MMP-7表达与食管癌淋巴结转移、临床分期、静脉侵犯和浸润深度有关(P<0.05);与性别、年龄、病理类型、组织分化无关(P>0.05)。结论MMP-7在食管鳞癌进展中有重要作用,可能是独立性预后指标。常规检测其在食管鳞癌中的表达,有助于食管癌的治疗和预后的判断。

Expression and significance of MMP-7 in Esophageal Carcinoma

Objective To investigate the relationship between the expression of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP-7) and biologic behavior of esophageal carcinoma.Methods Immunohistochemical SABC method was used to detect the expression of MMP-7 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.Results The normal esophageal squamous epithelium showed MMP-7 negative expression.MMP-7 was expressed mainly in cytoplasm and membrane,not in stromal cells, and the rate of positive expression is 43.3%(26/60) .The expression of MMP-7 was associated with lymph node metastasis(P=0.021),clinical stage(P=0.006),venous invasion(P=0.003)and infiltration depth(P=0.006) ,but was not associated with sexuality ,age, pathological classification and histological grade(P>0.05).Conclusion Our finding suggested that MMP-7 expression might play an important role in the progression of esophageal carcinoma and serve as an independent factor of prognosis.Routine detection of MMP-7 expression might be useful for the prediction of treatment and prognosis of esophageal carcinoma.
