Abstract: | The concentration of an antigen partially identical to the rat brain synaptic membrane antigen D2, was measured in human cerebrospinal fluid. The method used was rocket-line immunoelectrophoresis in agarose gel containing the detergent Triton X-100, and line-forming extract of rat brain membranes. No significant differences were found between the controls and patients with multiple sclerosis, inflammatory-degenerative neurological diseases, atrophic brain diseases, acute cerebro-vascular disease, schizophrenia, or affective psychosis. |
