The clinical observation of 90 cases with chest and abdominal trauma

Objective： To observe and summarize the clinical characteristics of chest and abdomen trauma,and to explore the effective treatment.Methods： The clinical data of 90 cases with chest and abdominal trauma diagnosed by surgery in Department of General Surgery of our hospital was retrospectively analyzed,including 67 cases with blunt chest and abdominal wounds and 23 cases with open chest and abdominal trauma.The severity of the injury was assessed by AIS-ISS trauma scale.Results： The score of patients with thoracic close drainage was significantly higher（P0.05）.A total of 82 patients（91.1%） were cured;8 patients died（8.9%）,in which 4 cases died of hemorrhagic shock due to serious injury of multiple organ in thoracic cavities,3 cases died of multiple organ failure and 1 case died of acute respiratory distress syndrome.Conclusions： The chest and abdominal trauma is severe,critical,and of high mortality rates.Interrogation of medical history in detail,complete physical examination and AIS-ISS scale could help to early diagnosis of thoracic and abdominal trauma,to determine the severity,and to take timely and appropriate treatment.
