Abstract: | Following cerebral angiography, the level of beta thromboglobulin rose in five of seven patients (P = less than 0.05). This would indicate that there had been generalised platelet activation. In view of the morbidity of cerebral angiography it is proposed that a trial of prophylactic anti-thrombotic therapy be instituted. |
