Post and core restoration is one of the main methods to restore tooth contour after root canal treatment （RCT）. Although metal casted posts and core restoration have been the main trend to fix the defective teeth for decades, there are many shortcomings which have limited its clinical applcations. Since 90 years of the last century , carbon fiber posts have appeared and been accepted by dentists. And from then on, glass fiber post, quartz fiber post and polyethylene fibre caused resin post turn up. Now, the glass fiber post restoration is the main trend in fiber restoration, however it has its own limitations. So reseachers have researched the new generation quartz fiber post.
