| Abstract: | Hemorrhagic shock remains a major cause of death following trauma.This article introduces the concept and diagnosis of traumatic shock,emphasizing that definitive control of bleeding and fluid resuscitation are the basic therapies.The development of fluid resuscitation and the novel resuscitation strategies are also described.The goals of resuscitation in the face of hemorrhagic shock are restoring end organ perfusion and maintaining tissue oxygenation. |
