Study on Cognitive Function Impairment of GTCS and CPS Epileptic

Objective：To learn impairment of cognitive function of GTCS（generalized tonic-clonic seizure,GTCS） and CPS（complex partial seizure,CPS） epileptic.Methods： 25 GTCS epileptic,18 CPS epileptic and 28 normal persons had been investigated.They all had been examined by Wechsler Memory Scale（WMS） and Ravin＇s standard progressive Matrices（RSPM）.Results： Results of WMS examination： In the GTCS group epileptic,mean MQ is 73.68±14.34,compared mean MQ of control group,the result is significantly different;In the CPS group epileptic,mean MQ is 71.44±10.52,compared with the control In the groups of group,the result is significantly different.Results of RSPM examination： In the GTCS group of patients,the results are： A 9.76±1.58、B 8.72＋2±.27、C 7.80±2.28、D 6.52±2.45、E 3.80±2.47 and total score 36.88±10.06,compared with control group,results have significant discrepancy;In CPS group of patients,the results are： A 9.44±2.09、B8.33±2.92、C 6.83±2.67、D 5.44±2.57、E 2.78±2.32 and total score 33.39±11.59,compared control group,results have significant discrepancies.Conclusion： The cognitive function have been impaired in epileptic compared with normal persons.
