Analysis on the Clinical Effect of Betahistine Combined with Manual Reduction in the Treatment of Patients with BenignParoxysmal Positional Vertigo

Objective To explore the clinical effect of betahistine combined with manual reduction in the treatment of patients with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo(BPPV).Methods 92 patients with BPPV were randomly divided into two groups,with 46 cases in each group.The control group was treated with betahistine,and the experimental group was treated with betahistine combined with manual reduction.The curative effects of the two groups were compared.Results The total effective rate of treatment of the experimental group was 89.13%,significantly higher than 71.74%of the control group(P<0.05).After 2 weeks of treatment,the VSI score of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group,and the BBS score was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After 3 months follow-up,the recurrence rate of the experimental group was 4.35%,significantly lower than 23.91%of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Betahistine combined with manual reduction in the treatment of BPPV has significant clinical effect and low recurrence rate,and can effectively improve patients'related clinical symptoms and balance ability.
