Study on the TCM Constitution Classification of Postpartum Hypogalactia and Its Correlation with MES Indicators

Objective To explore the TCM constitution classification of postpartum hypogalactia and its correlation with MES indicators.Methods 200 puerperal women with postpartum hypogalactia were selected as hypogalactia group,and 100 puerperal women with normal breast feeding were selected as control group.The TCM constitution classification of postpartum hypogalactia and its correlation with MES indicators were analyzed.Results Yang deficiency constitution was the most common in the hypogalactia group,and gentleness constitution was the most common in the control group.There were statistical differences in the proportions of gentleness constitution,phlegm dampness constitution,Yang deficiency constitution and blood stasis constitution between two groups(P<0.05).The MES indicators of nine constitutions in two groups showed no statistical difference(P>0.05),but the MES indicators of both groups were higher than the normal values.Phlegm dampness constitution,Yang deficiency constitution and blood stasis constitution were the risk factors of postpartum hypogalactia.Conclusions Biased constitution is more likely to occur postpartum hypogalactia;It is advisable to carry out dietary and exercise guidance for pregnant women,especially those with biased constitution,through constitution identification as early as possible.
