摘    要:本文报道了5,7-二羟基-6,8-二甲基-4′-甲氧基-TA氢黄酮(Ⅰ)(Mnt?eucinol鹃化醇)的合成,合成品为消旋体。小鼠酚红法药理试验表明具有与杜鹃素相类似的祛痰活性。

Abstract:Farrerol (4',5,7-trihydroxy-6 ,8-dimettylflavarcne) , an expectorant principle isolated from leaves of Rhododendron dauricum L, was first used to treat chronic bronchitis clinically. 4'-methyl-farrerol(I, Matteucinol)had been isolated from R. Simsii Planch by previous investigators. But its biological activities were not reported. Matteucinol (I) was synthesized and chara~ cterized by elemental analysis as well as IR, NMR and Mass spectroscopy, being found to be identical with the natural specimen. Pharmacological test shewed that the synthetic matteucinol (I) exhibited similar expectorant activity as that of farrerol by the mouse phenol red method.
