The Comparison of Life Quality of the Retired Medical Personnel and the Elderly in the Community,and the Related Influencing Factors

Objective:To understand the quality of life of retired medical personnel and the elderly in the community,and whether there is a difference between them in other industries.Method:A total of 495 retired medical personnel in a municipal hospital in Shanghai and the elderly in the community where the hospital is located were selected for measurement and statistical analysis with the WHOQOL-OLD scale.Result:In this region,the quality of life of the retired health care workers is worse than that of the elderly in the community.The life quality of retired hospital medical staff:with the number of children≥3,logistics jobs,or completely unable to take care of themselves is worse.Conclusion:The occupational status of medical personnel and the quality of life after retirement need to be improved and enhanced.The concept of“raising children for old age”is gradually weakening,and the modern pension model and concept will become the mainstream,instead.Positive aging and successful aging should be advocated to measure the development of undertakings for the aged.
