摘    要:<正> 一些资料证明,上丘浅层和深层有着不同的纤维联系,其浅层主要接受视网膜和纹状皮质的输入,而深层除与视觉有关外,还是多种感觉的会聚地带。最近Edwards报告,上丘广泛接受视结构,听结构、体感觉结构、儿茶酚胺神经核团以及特殊网状区的输入,从而认为上丘深层具有脑干中心网状结构性质。我国在针刺镇痛原理研究中,有人报导电针可抑制中脑网状结构内痛敏神经元放电,表明该结构可能与针刺镇痛有关,因而了解上丘与间脑和脑干


PROJECTION FROM THE RETICULAR FORMATION TO THE SUPERIOR COLLICULUS IN THE CAT——A Study with Retrograde HRP
Abstract:Projections from the reticular formation of the diencephalon and brainstem to the superior colliculus were investigated in 13 adult cats by retrograde horseradish peroxidase (HRP) tracing methods. After HRP injection into superior colliculus, perikaryon containing HRP reaction product appeared within reticular formation of the diencephalon and brainstem, including the zona incerta, thalamic reticular nucleus, nucleus commissurae posterioris, reticular and lateral party of the substartia nigra, mesencephalic reticular formation, periaqueductal gray substance, midbrain raphe nuclei, Locus coeruleus and subcoeruleus nuclei. Among these nuclei, the most densely labeled cells could be found in the ipslateral zona incerta. The results of different labeled degree in zona incerta observed after HRP injection into different parts of superior colliculus showed as following: most rostal superior—a lot of labeled terminals and few labeled cells; rostal-middle—the labeled cells were very dense; caudal superior—a considerable quantity of HRP positive cells and sparese labeled terminals. These results indicate that the superior colliculus receives entensive inputs from reticular formation and connections between the superior colliculus and zona incerta may be topographically present.
